I know this will probably make some people mad because as it seems these days.. being a McCain supporter or a republican OR a conservative for that matter are really unpopular, but I really don't care. It is really crazy - kids at school are making fun of my boys for being Mccain supporters (as if they can even vote :/, it all seems a bit ridiculous and very frustrating. I am not sold on Hollywood Obama, he has been marketed like a trendy commodity or some celebrity... I am really bugged. I hate politics as it is but when it gets dirty and calculated it seems to have crossed the transparent line of democracy we are esteemed for and should value. If you search "pro mccain" what you will find is whole lot of negative propaganda, I am SURE seeded by Obama camp, FLOODING all mediums with as much garbage as they can. If you search "pro obabma" guess what you find? you guessed it, a bouquet of positive sites glamorizing this candidate and his ideas for change, blah blah blah. Can't anyone else see it, or is it just me? Would someone please answer these
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AjGhy8LVwAo questions for me?? Someone sure knows how to market him (Obama) well... BUT isn't he the exact antithesis for conservative values? Maybe it is just me but he seems to represent/support the popular opinions "of the world not in the world".
There have been some interesting debates/conversations around here about where our political alliance is. Neither one of these ya-hoos are very impressive but I am affirmed in MY decision that I am planting my heals deep into the candidate that will support LONGTERM, the fundamental conservative beliefs I value, read be between the lines and make your voice heard!

GO MCCAIN!!!
Hi, I'm a friend of Jen Yanceys. I totally see what you are talking about. I don't know if you have seen the Obama commercials where if you have dish network you can push "select" and it takes you to HIS CHANNEL!!! I mean come on really, your own channel? He even has virtual campaining, meaning you can see his ads on video games! They showed a billboard on the inside of a video basketball game! Gee is it not obvious that he is Hollywood's choice!?! I think it is ironic that Oprah will gladly have the Obamas on her show for a little "get to know you" session but then when the McCains what to come on she conviently says that "she is not a polictical platform" NICE!! I can't say that McCain is my first choice, but given the fact that he is the only other person to vote for, I am going for the "lesser of two evils." :o) I don't know if I answered any of your questions, but I feel you blight in voting for the "unpopular grandpa"
I don't love McCain either, but actually I really do like Sarah Palin, and that is a REALLY unpopular opinion to have! I feel she's the only candidate with wholesome intentions and no hidden, personal agenda.
We truly are in the last days, Jen, and that means conservative Christian values are unpopular. Satan is hard at work and we must unapologeticly (is that a word?)stand firm. Thanks for doing just that. You are not alone.
You always get me thinking. Nice post. Thanks for sharing!
I totally agree. It's too bad the media is so liberal, they can influence America to vote for Obahma without America even knowing their being brainwashed. I'm glad you can vote in a state where your vote can affect the outcome. I will definately vote, but I'm sure our state will be red anyway.
Jen, we are in a conservative little community where we do not see as much Obama campaigning and propoganda. I am sorry your kids are being teased, since you're right: kids don't really know what is going on anyway. We do agree with you much of Fort Worth does it seems. I love your blog and hope you don't mind when I borrow some things from it (lds photos/quotes etc). I wish I had as much time as you do to work on mine--b/c I love your testimony part, the thoughts on family & graditude. Do you print your blog into a book yearly? We plan to! Can't wait! You will leave a great, great legacy & testimony for your children.
I don't think I have your right email--can you send me a message to mine: robynb68@gmail.com? and send my your telephone numbers again? please? we do want to come down!!! next month?!
I am pro McCain as well...mainly because of Sarah Palin :) I HATE the media. They are so manipulative with their secret combinations...seriously...all we can do is vote and pray...
hey jen~ the baking soda mixture is 2/3 cup of water and 2 tablespoons of baking soda. you can just eye it really. i've tried vinegar too, i don't like it as much. i bought a sonic scrubber from walmart (in the car section) and that made it easier on me than with a toothbrush. i finally finished, all in all i think it took me over 6 hours but it looks beautiful!!! good luck :)
Hey jen, I totally agree with you! However, I don't particularly like either candidate. But for the sake of democracy, I'm voting for McCain so we don't have a completely democratic government. Politics this year have gotten really ugly and I can't WAIT for it to be over!
I am voting McCain. In Utah you don't see any McCain/Palin Bumper stickers, but you see Obama everywhere. I think McCain fans are just a little bit more quiet (after all, he isn't any ones favorite, but he is a Republican!).
