Old News is STILL News

"It is not enough to be busy. So are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?" Henry David Thoreau

Do you ever sit around in the waiting room of the doctors office and feel a little disenchanted by the coffee table magazines. Wrinkled, edges torn, smattered with a bazillion germ filled finger prints that greasily adorn every page(yuck), not to mention they are mostly out dated and basically OLD news. It is just not as much fun to pick up a People Magazine that is 3 weeks old. Even though the news is all new to you, I still sort of give a shoulder shrug and skim through the pages a few at a time and toss it back on the table.  WELL that is a little how I feel about my blogging style as of late. A little less motivated to journal anything that happened months ago. Somehow it seems unworthy of it's mention since it is "old news" even though it is still "news" and undoubtedly an intricate part of the weave in our life's tapestry.
Some of those events include....

* Ryans broken leg
* Family and friends Trip to Padre Island
* Car accident
* A few photo shoots for some super seniors
* Another mini sisters retreat to Utah for Woman's Conference
* Baby shower
* Piano concert
and more (posts to come)

Anywhoo.... a little old news but still lots of great stuff. I will get caught up I am sure, we are just having too much fun living life. I find it hard to squeeze any more time out of my day to download pictures, write something worth saying and keep up. I know some have filled their "blogging" time with Facebook adventures but I'm not a big fan... I will always lean toward the written word and journaling which is where my passion lies. Someone once said that writing is closer to thinking than speaking. I suppose that is what I love about well written words. It is a key whole into ones mind, thoughts, motivations and aspirations. That is exciting to me.

Anyway, I have about 2 weeks to go and baby to cookin! Everything looks great...especially me :) haha.  Life is crazy. I think May is the worst month AND the best month of the entire year and why we are 9 months pregnant with our 6th child this month I'll never understand. It is the worst because everything piles up... projects, projects, projects, tests, tests, field trips, parties, signups, class course changes and on and on ... ya know. Add that to the fact that I move at 1/2 my physical capacity and if I sit for too long my arms and legs fall asleep, if I stand too long my legs feel like they are going to explode. Sort of a no win at being comfortable. Having said that, May is the best because there is so much to look forward to, SUMMER! and our summers are FUN! Plus we are gaining a precious little person to our family and I can hardly wait to meet him. SO many wonderful things ahead.

So busier days ahead for sure and the quote above really sums things up. I know and believe there is a time and season for everything. One day I'll enjoy delving into why writing makes my heart pitter patter with excitement. I will be able to do lots of things that hang on a mental shelf in my mind...  for "that day"  I know will come too soon and I will surely grieve these wonderful days.  I am just so grateful for this season, the chaos and everything.

I would love to read your "old" news. I have missed you on the WWW.com.
