CHRISTMAS Season 2010

We had a wonderful Christmas season this year. Filled with wonderful memories, traditions and lots of rich meaningful family time. We had the boys with us this year and those are always the best ever. Unfortunately part of the collateral damage of sharing a camera with your husband is that pictures can easily get deleted without your approval or knowledge :( That is what happened with our Christmas photos (boowoo). I am all puckered up with grief because of that lose. OH it hurts! Our videos etc... gone....So here is a snippet of what we did manage to have via iphones and our other camera from the holiday season 2010.

Hackings Christmas Party

Eddies little Christmas get together with friends. Aren't their footsies silly.  Funny kids!
Burger Boys Christmas program at preschool.

Christmas morning train down the stairs.

True to form. Our sweet little selfless Burger didn't even acknowledge that he had a pile from Santa too. He was SO interested and excited for Douey showing her all of her things. It wasn't until we told him that he had somethings also that he noticed.  It was precious in every single way!

Post Christmas we traveled to Utah to see family. On our way we had a sad little experience in Albuquerque.  Some of you know the sad story. We pulled into a brand new hotel in west Albuquerque. From all appearances it seemed to be a safe area but it was dark, about 11 pm at night. We literally just grabbed our toiletry bag and my purse and in we went. Right...?? why would we bring in everything for a family of 7 for just a few hours sleep..? Well, never again. We got a call in our room at 10 to 7am saying that they "regret to inform us that our back window had been broken" we gathered our few things and rushed down. Sure enough it was broken and everything was taken. ALL our luggage. Everything, gone. It was so sad. Eddies new 300$ Dr.  Dre headphones = gone. All the kids coats = gone. All their new Christmas clothes = gone. It was really just so sad. And what jerks would do something like that? Scum. Anyway... needless to say we spent a small fortune this Christmas. We had nothing... in fact some of the kids didn't even have any shoes. SO once we did a little recovery shopping at Target and got our window replaced we traveled 10 hours to New Harmony into the loving arms of family. Such a relief but we all carried that experience with us for the week. Like a little monkey on your back, such a violation. Upon our return we had to relive it again as we all realized again the missing things we once enjoyed. Thankfully it was just "things" and we were all safe.  People are MUCH much more important than "things" and they didn't take our car so all things considered we were blessed and our theme song for that trip was appropriately "Count Your Many Blessings".

Upon our arrival at the ranch we loved every minute of it. Being with family is fantastic. It was SO cold. The kids loved playing in the snow, and playing with cousins.

Delicious!

Yep, he is totally a winner already! No doubt!
