It has been a fantastic year and a great success for everyone. Now that we have been in Austin for almost 2 years, we can legitimately say we love it here. Prior to now, it was more like we loved the "idea" of living here and took everyone's word that is was wonderful, now we really believe it too. We have digested much of what makes this city magical, that is something that only occurs with history and time. We are making wonderful friends, having fabulous missionary opportunities and establishing traditions and memories that are like glue for any family.
There have been so many wonderful things happen the past few weeks that I am anxious to write about, some of which are...
* We put an offer in on a home, a short sale so it will be a long process. We'll see.
* Attended BYU's Womens Conference with my mom and sisters - paradigm shifting. Will post on that soon.
* Ran in the Beach to Bay relay marathon in Corpus Christi with some dear friends. Loved that.
* Piano Recital
* Kindergarten Roundup
* Mothers Day
* Spike Jonze shoot
Soon... those posts (and others) will make it from my "to do" list, to my "done" list.
I am spilling over with with gratitude for the many blessings in our life. I love being a mother. I love being a wife. I love my people. I love the many friends (all over, even those I do not know) that have shown love and support and inspire me everyday. Life is good. I am so grateful for the gospel, what a marvelous package of answers it is. Life is great and I love every-minute of it, even the smashed bananas at the bottom of backpacks and the piles of papers unloaded daily at 3pm. I love the noise and the mess and the whole package. I love this process of progressing as a human being, becoming better and better in little ways everyday, with the help of the Lord. A friend of mine posted this about motherhood and it spoke to me in many ways, helped me savor what I have right now, even the craziness.
Soon summer will be here and then we are off for our hiatus in Utah, to Grandmas paradise and more fun craziness.
***And yes.. I am still going private on (this) our family blog, if you want in and have not said ... please let me know. It has been a time commitment I have been not been able to make, uploading the email addresses of all those invited is quite the task. Thanks to all of you (even you strangers) that have messaged/emailed me to be included on our blog, I so appreciate your interest and all the wonderful things you have said. I think you are all wonderful too.
