"Love"ly Thankful Thursday
I love my life.
I love when I smell my children I can taste them.
I love down comforters.
I love my precious.
I love when my precious smiles his entire face twinkles.
I love the high pitch noise I can almost hear when I see Burger AND Bubba smile.
I love the sound of conversation around our dinner table every night.
I love the smell of baking goods.
I love clean sheets.
I love 50 degree weather.
I love scarves.
I love the sound of my sewing machine.
I love watching my kids from afar, when they do not know I am watching.
I love puffy morning faces of my children when they are humid, warm and soft.
I love the painful like whimpering Maggie does when we walk in the door.
I love being a Mom.
I love that I love being a Mom.
I love my testimony of a gospel that I love.
I love being a deep thinker and passionate feeler.
I love the joy I feel daily.
I love to love, it feels good inside.
I love my life and am so grateful for it.

Happy 10th Twins Day
Happy 10th Birthday Bubba and Fish. Oh how we love you so!
One of MANY funny memories of these sweet little boys.

What a remarkable thing... really, to bring a child into this mortal existence let alone 2 or 3 or 4 or in our case 5 and even more remarkable are 2 little spirits that come down together. Twins (or multiples) are very special people, two spirits that for what ever purpose and design HAD to come together. I am continually fascinated with them and the individuals they are becoming.
These 2 little boys struggled to get here. I spent 14 weeks on very strict bed rest. I was the 4th of 7 siblings to conceive twins but the rest had lost theirs so it goes without saying... I was very nervous the entire pregnancy of loosing these babies. I went into labor at 21 weeks and was put flat down until I delivered at 35 weeks, 7 lb 3oz (Bubbie) and 6 lbs 5oz (Chicken Fish) healthy baby boys.
I really can not believe I am sharing this photo... but I am.. so there you have it, don;t you love the perm! That is what my belly looked like carrying 14 lbs of baby! Taken the night before I delivered.
Fish
Bubba
Hours old. Even in their crib they would turn towards each other.
They are very much the exact same spirits that came to me 10 years ago today. I have precisely the same feelings and impressions about who they are and their attributes today as I did the moment they were born. They both have very strong spirits. I could possibly say that of all our children those 2 left the most immediate spiritual imprint on me of who they are. As I take my occasional trips down memory lane, I often find myself in a place of deep thinking (surprise surprise) where I reflect (in ways that only the spirit could translate) on my children and who they are, not who I am trying to create but WHO my loving Heavenly Father has sent me... and I ask... "what am I to do with them".
They are treasures. All 5 of them. But today I take particular mention of those sweet adorable twin boys. Ahhh I am overwhelmed. Flooded. Immersed. Swallowed up in feelings towards them today.
Bubba - I will start with him since he was "Baby A" (born 1st). He is sensitive, loving, crazy affectionate, a deep thinker and feeler (like his mom), he is imaginative, brave, creative, an explorer, a make believer, energetic, compassionate, obedient, a leader, conscience, endearing, free spirited, did I say loving and affectionate. Bubbie "needs" very little from you but what he does need more than anything, is a smile or a giggle to reassure him of your love and acceptance of him. When he is assured of your affection towards him there are sunshine beams streaming from him that can warm any heart. He is so easy to love.
Fish - "Baby B" (2nd born). He is also sensitive and caring, considerate, careful, organized, prepared, spiritual, high achiever, perfectionist, detail oriented, responsible, selfless, very conscience, artistic, obedient, respectful, a leader, he is kind, helpful and just absolute a sweetheart. He is innately aware of style and the finer things of life. He is so eager to please and do generous things of other. Fish is very sensitive to the energy of people around him and thrives in a happy environment with low stress, "there is beauty all around when there is love at home" could be my motto for him.
He is so easy to love.
He is so easy to love.

Providently Peaceful

Some friends of mine in our ward here started another blog specifically for provident living. We have some exceptional people in our ward that have some pretty amazing gifts and talents in this area of food storage and living economically so I had the idea of bring them all together... mainly for selfish reasons... I want to be taught by all their knowledge.
I did some canning not too long ago and I think I made 10 phone calls to my friends learning from all their experiences canning. This blog will be a great place where those that are interested can go, learn and share from experiences, successes and or failures in the world of food storage. We all have so much to learn from each other and I feel blessed I can learn from such gifted people.
Check it out here if you'd like.
FYI... this is NOT a "WARD blog"... it is a personal blog ran by friends, just in case you had any question :)

Build Your Testimony - General Conference

...
These are a few of the inspirations that came to me.
* KNOW good and DO good
* Knowing right is not enough... you must DO right
* TESTIFY of Jesus Christ!
* Listen, watch and record promptings of the Holy Ghost
* Never stop testifying!
* Do the simple things!
* Don't be casual about prayer
* Do not yield to strong emotions of the natural man...(stress, frustration, anxiety etc) they can overpower the delicate promptings of the spirit.
* concerned parents will teach valuable lessons
* Loved the "no empty chairs" thought from President Erying Sundays am session!
* Loved the "Safety equipment - you choose to use it" idea used by Sister Monson-Dibb
* "Successful travelers resist all distractions " (Elder Holland)
* "easiness and willingness to believe in God will come from repentance and obedience"(Elder Ringwood)
