My Birthday & Girlfriends Dinner

My sweet friends gathered together on Wednesday night for dinner at Johnny Carinos. It was so fun, we got there at 6:30 and didn't leave until 10:30pm. It is amazing how time flies when you are having fun. They are truly remarkable women, everyone of them! Thanks ladies for my birthday dinner, it was a way fun night!

Austin Texas and Happy Birthday to ME!

We went to Austin Texas over the weekend for a little business trip/Birthday trip. The guys went a day early to slay some dragons for us ladies and we came in on Friday. This was what I saw coming down the escalator, these sweet guys with silly little Spongebob birthday hats on and a huge bouquet of balloons, all in effort to make my day special and memorable! It did the trick.



Friday night we attended the Addy Awards in Austin. This is an awards show that we attend every year in Salt Lake and now Denver. It give awards to the best advertising pieces for the past year. We were all very impressed how awesome the work was. Every Ad Agency they have met with there says they do a ton of TV/Broadcast which is music to our ears. Austin has a well know creative pulse and was certainly evident in this awards show!


I have about 100 pictures over the years of me hugging Natalie just like this, squishing her right up against me, she likes it, she smiles every time.



This was a Beautiful restaurant called the Oasis that looks out over Lake Travis in Austin, it literally looks like Catalina Island or Malibu or something California like. It was 75 degrees and absolutely wonderful!

Sweet Friends and Partners Brady and Natalie Anderton

Mr. Brady Bear is very well connected and has friends in every corner on the earth. He happened to have some friends from college that live there in Austin that took us around all day on Saturday seeing the sights and then that night we went to The Melting Pot where we ate, dipped in cheese and told our deepest secrets, we had a blast! One of these guys... I won't tell who made out with Paula Abdul:) and then afterwards (we suspect though he wouldn't confirm) she wrote, He's a Cold Hearted Snake :)


On Sunday we went to Church and did some more driving a round. We went and hung out at a lake house that belonged to a friend of Brady's, it was serene and wonderful, in stark contrast to the frozen waste land we call home, Colorado.


Kristin Thomas... and she didn't even blink this time! Good job Kris:)


We just had the best time. These are a few of my most favorite people and I love them all very much! Big HUGE thanks to the Giles and the Jensen's for helping us go on this little trip, our babies did very well in your caring hands!

Daidy Bear 3rd Birthday

It was Daidy's 3rd birthday on Sunday. She was the usual Angel Face. Saturday was a busy day the basketball games and such, then went swimming and had a blast, she loves the water! On Sunday we had a yummy roast dinner and opened presents. When we asked Daiders what she wanted for her birthday she say "maybe sparkly shinny crystal??".
She didn't get any crystals this year but she did get a sparkly shinny dress however and has worn it every waking minute since. We went to Costco on Monday and I just could not get myself to have her take it off. Nothing is cuter than watching your daughter walk around Costco absolutly convinced she is a princess by the mear attire she has on. Every grandpa in the store commented on how adorable she looked and she loved every minute of it... so did I:)At one point in the store she wanted to take off her sweater (it was 20 degrees that day)and I said "no, it is too cold" and adamately replied saying "BUT Mom!... I am a summertime girl!"

She is more than there are words. She always has been, and always will be. We love her SO much it is nearly unbearable. She is our sweet Angel Face Daidy Bear and we thank our Heavenly Father everyday for her blessing!

Whose temper is worse? Neither one of us has a temper but I guess Ben is more long suffering and forgiving than I, he is wonderful in everyway.

Who has more friends? I would say it is about the same although I perceive it differently. EVERYONE loves Ben and I think everyone just like me :)Neither one of us are "friend crazy" to us all we need is each other and a few life long friends and we are happy.
Who has more siblings? Me = 14 (includes step and halfers not that it matters)

Good Friends are the Best!

We got together at the Lambs on Sunday to watch the Superbowl and it was a blast. Of course we were all intently watching to see Bens commercial and we were too busy eating and chatting we MISSED it! But that is ok because we have seen it 100 times since.

These are the best people! I am so grateful to have these smart, sweet, sincere and genuine friends. I mean, these are not women who just look cute on the outside and filled with pink fluff inside, these ladies have substance and depth and have their priortiies straight. I just can't say enough about how much I admire all these women and love our time together, they are all just as beautiful inside as they are out! Thanks for the fun night Amber and Matt!



We had a fairly sponantious "Girls Night Out". We went and saw "27 Dresses", which in my opinion, should without questions be a top contender for Best Picture at the Oscars this year...... well ok, if not Best Picture then definatly best Cinematography... not. But it was still fun and then afterwards we went to Chilis for dessert and chips and queso. It was so fun to be with these wonderful people! Thanks Ladies, I love you all and lets do it again soon!

Here are some spots Ben wrote and directed and his company Fueld, produced for Dish Network. There are 14 national spots and serveral other "blooper" spots that are viral. The "Madden" spot will be played during the Super Bowl all over the US, more specificly for our fan base :)...in Utah they will be on durning the pregame and afterwards during House and through news.
